One of the 2 identical versions of the plaster head that can be dated thanks to their appearing in 2 movies by the artist. One of them, not painted, at the end of the 50s, the other one, painted, in 1960. The casts, that may come from the Maison Berger, are identical to the one used many times by Magritte in his pictures of La Mémoire (paintings : 1942, 1945, 1948 see below, painted objects in 1942 & 1945).
To be included in the VIIth volume of the catalogue raisonné dedicated to editions.
