"Scutenaire who thought of the title, may no doubt have remembered that in the dictionary the entry 'Violin' explains what the violin is made of, in particular its 'âme' ('soul' in French, refers to the sound post for a violin) and the word 'âme' may have reminded him of a book he read long ago: 'A little of the outlaws' souls' and made him decide that the book-title fitted the picture."
